- Alternative Character Interpretation: Pocahontas. When her husband dies, there's no indication that she's sad over losing another man in her life. When John Smith returns, she's a little too overjoyed to see him again. There isn't a clear indication how much time had passed from her husband dying and John Smith returning. Did she really love her husband?
- Narm: Pocahontas' face on the DVD cover. She looks completely stoned out of her mind.
- Squick:
- Instead of having Pocahontas be a grown woman like in the Disney film, this adaptation has her at her actual age in real life. This becomes a problem when it’s established that both she and John Smith are in love with each other while she’s still a child.
- White Eagle is often drawn with exaggerated pecks, even sporting nipples in one scene.
- Suspiciously Similar Song: The opening song sounds a lot like "Indian Reservation" by Paul Revere and the Raiders.
