  • Adaptation Displacement: Some episodes have better-known remakes that saw theatrical release. Examples without their own trope pages include The Helen Morgan Story and Roger Corman's The St. Valentine's Day Massacre (based on the episode "Seven Against the Wall").
  • He Really Can Act: Ed Wynn's performance in Requiem for a Heavyweight was his first dramatic role in his entire career, with all of his previous work having been comedic. His heartfelt performance surprised everyone — including the cast and crew who had been very concerned due to his constant screw-ups during rehersals. It even inspired a entire television movie (The Man in the Funny Suit), starring quite a few of the production crew (including Wynn) as themselves, dramatizing his role in its production.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Peters from "Dark as the Night" is played by Bill Owen, who would later be best known for playing Compo Simmonite in Last of the Summer Wine.
