• Alternative Character Interpretation: Would Lanny be a better king than Boomer and Brady? The few times he rose to power, he acted like a tyrant, but it's obvious that he would lead more effectively than the current kings who are obviously Idiots Heroes and they are to blame for 95% of the island's problems.
• Ass Pull: The third brother, Boz, suddenly appeared at the start of the third season, with the islanders claiming he is the missing, never-mentioned triplet to Boomer and Brady. Nothing like this was ever mentioned or foreshadowed related to this beforehand and it is clear this was a last-minute decision to cover up the replacement of Brady's actor.
• Harsher in Hindsight: The reasoning for Adam Hicks' role in the series (replacing Mitchel Musso after his DUI arrest) is this as he himself encountered legal problems in 2018 (in his case, he was arrested for armed robbery).
• Replacement Scrappy: Boz to Brady, who was seen as a carbon-copy replacement without any of the personal connection to Boomer. He also had no chemistry with the other actors and his intelligence was largely an Informed Attribute as he was dumber than both brothers combined, which is saying a lot.
• Retroactive Recognition:
  • Hilo from "The Kings Beneath My Wings" is played by Tyrel Jackson Williams, now better known as Leo Dooley from Lab Rats.
  • Tom Thumb from "Thumb & Thumber" is a pre-Henry Danger Cooper Barnes.
• Seasonal Rot: Season 3 is seen as when they completely ran out of ideas of where to take the premise. It doesn't help that Mitchel Musso was kicked off the show.
