• Accidental Aesop: The construction of the Pub(e). The work everyone goes to make sure the building is accessible to everyone, no matter their Origin, has led many fans to draw comparisons with the importance of accommodating and providing access for disabled people in real life.
• Crowning Moment of Awesome:
  • Due to a major glitch with the world generation, a large, spherical ravine is etched into the landscape surrounding the lake, even carving through the bedrock, allowing access to the Void. Normally, dropping into the Void would be an immediate death sentence. Cue Phil, who flew down below the bedrock, circled the entire circumference of the ravine, surfed the void, and lived to tell the tale.
  • Phil gets another one in Season 3 by destroying Aimsey's glass dome with TNT. Considering how harmful it was to Shubble and other being sensitive to the sun, it is truly epic.
• Draco in Leather Pants: Ranboo and Aimsey are generally unpleasant people on the server, with very self-absorbed personalities and building a dome in Season 3 to block the rain while knowing how it could affect other people. And yet they're the most popular members on the server, getting tons of fan art and having a large following because of their enjoyable obnoxiousness.
• Fan Nickname: Several members of the OSMP have fan nicknames referencing their selected Origin. Tommy, having the Avian origin, is often nicknamed "ChickenInnit", whereas Techno was quickly dubbed "Bunnyblade", and Scott is often called "Starboy".
• Funny Moments: In Season 2, Techno's borderline-obsession with carrots, to the point he walked into lava following a carrot trail set up by Phil and Sneeg.
• Friendly Fandoms: With the Dream SMP, as a result of creator overlap.
• Game-Breaker: Smajor's original version of his origin, the Starborne, gave him the ability to strike people with lightning whenever he hit them, on a fairly short cooldown. Unfortunately, due to the way lightning works, it would delete the items of anyone killed by it, forcing them to rebalance it into a special laser beam attack separate from regular attacks.
• Obvious Beta: The original version of Fundy's origin, the Fox. His "pounce" ability only launched him about two blocks most of the time, and whenever it did work properly, it led to him taking large amounts of fall damage and dying. Due to his reduced size, he also encountered a bug where he couldn't climb stairs. In his next stream, Fundy was using an overhauled version of the Fox origin called the Kitsune, which fixed the stairs bug, boosted his pounce, and made it so he no longer took fall damage, among other things.
• Tear Jerker: This Nightmare Sequence from a VOD on December 29th, 2022, in which Scott appears to be trapped in the void of space while being taunted by an unknown entity (voiced by fellow creator OwengeJuice) about being left alone again.
