YMMV / Omega Strikers

Go To

  • Awesome Music: Courtesy of various composers that Odyssey Interactive have outsourced to, every Striker theme is a banger in an of itself, and perfectly reflect their respective character.
  • Fanfic Fuel: Vyce and Finii were both alluded to with the Heavy Impact and Swagger Stagger awakenings respectively. Because of this, artists began to design their own fanmade Strikers based on the other awakenings in the game.
  • Goddamned Boss:
    • X, as his special allows him to repeatedly harass opponents with his basic strike combined with his other moves, which many players find annoying to fight against.
    • Rasmus isn't that much of a threat on regular matches, but a Rasmus on Ai.Mi's App is a pain on the players asses. His special, Death Touch, allows him to pull enemy strikers towards him. Combined with the hole in the middle of the arena, a Rasmus player can easily position themselves on the opposite end of the pit and cast Death Touch on unsuspecting opponents for an easy KO. This is why everyone chooses to ban him should that arena ever come up in Competitive.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Zentaro is an Oni who experiences fantastic racism and is forced to don a menacing looking mask in order to prevent others from fearing him. But underneath his scary mask is a benevolent face. Later, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's The Teal Mask DLC would give us Ogerpon, an Oni Pokémon who experienced fantastic racism and is forced to don an intimidating mask in order to conceal their identity so that there's no fear surrounding them, with a pure soul underneath it. In other words, Zentaro and Ogerpon are one in the same.
  • Memetic Mutation:
  • Scrappy Mechanic: The matchmaking system is detested by players for assigning them with (or against) players with vastly different skill levels, competitive ranks, and playtime experience.
For example: a player could very well end up getting matched up with others who are not as experienced as them, or total newbies who just downloaded the game, while also getting put up against players who are a lot more skilled than them. As a result, this makes matches end up unfairly one-sided.
  • Ships That Pass in the Night: Although not every Striker has unique dialogue interactions for every other Striker, that doesn't mean they won't receive pairings by the fanbase. Popular pairings include:
