• Nausea Fuel: The Stigmata Table features some of the grosser and more disfiguring traits a Nightbane can have such as slimy blood coated skin, patches of boils and sores or even embedded shards of glass and nails. Supplemental material from The Rifter also adds a Gross Stigmata Table for people who weren't already put off by the regular one.
  • Burger-Face. He's not a bad guy but as his name would imply his Morphus form isn't going to be winning him any beauty contests any time soon.
  • The Pestilence & Disease Table from Dark Designs can make even the Stigmata Tables look tame. Nightbane with traits from this table tend to have all the symptoms of deadly and crippling diseases that can scare opponents away just for fear of having to touch them. Common characteristics for these Nightbane include open sores, boils, infected flesh, bleeding, parasitic infestations and worse. Definitely not something that any highly germophobic or sickness-fearing players will ever want to deal with, special powers or not.
• Values Resonance: While it doesn't really dwell on them the core rulebook and it's expansions both cover and show the positive and negative effects of many controversial political and moral subjects such as government corruption, institutionalized discrimination, police brutality and incompetence, media brainwashing and indoctrination, self-identity importance, bigotry, acceptance of others and general tolerance among many other such themes. While these elements were generally viewed somewhat positively and often discussed in the 90s they have become much more relevant to the social conscious in the new 10s and 20s with the rise of equality movements for marginalized groups and much greater awareness of the effects of racism, systematic oppression and mass propaganda.
