• Growing the Beard: The beginning of Nathaniel's YouTube career was filled with a lot of experimentation with varying degrees of success. But around late 2016, Nathaniel had found a solid identity for his channel with the Triggered/Mind-Blowing videos, self-imposed challenges, ranking videos, etc.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In "How Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS TRIGGERS You!", Nathaniel suggests Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a much better name for the game. One year later, Nintendo would reveal the next installment in the series, called exactly that.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Nathaniel's old catchphrase "Striving for Originality" has become a meme within the community, especially after it was retired.
  • Big House ^Explanation Without noticing, Nathaniel repeatedly made giant house level concepts in multiple of his video game prediction videos. Once viewers joked about how often Nathaniel predicted the concept, he decided to fully embrace the meme in future videos.
  • Green Bronze Luigi ^Explanation Inspired by the infamous addition of Pink Gold Peach in Mario Kart 8, this is a character prediction Nathaniel made for his Mario Kart 9 Prediction series.
• Unintentional Period Piece: Nathaniel's older videos had a propensity to reference trends that were popular at the time, but are dated now. The most infamous being when he referenced cyclist Lance Armstrong's doping case in his Top 10 Hardest Mario Kart Wii Tracks video, which occurred a year prior to the video releasing.
  Nathaniel: But Moonview Highway? Well, that's Toad's Turnpike... ON STEROIDS! This track is on more steroids than everyone on Lance Armstrong's bike team!
