- Ensemble Dark Horse: Massha is a popular character despite her minor roles; thanks to her jolly personality, unique depths, being one of the only people who can consistently fluster Aahz, and her rotund appearance.
- Sequelitis: When exactly this kicked in is heavily debated, but as the series went on the main cast outside of Skeeve, Aahz, and Bunny steadily lessened in prominence to the point of being background characters (as much as the book covers would try to tell you otherwise). The stories also became clumsier and too humor focused, generally being really bland while having at least one really forced attempt at drama and being poignant.
