• Harsher in Hindsight: The Anastasia Romanov episode becomes this after 2007 as that was when the missing Romanov children bodies were found, thus confirming that she suffered the same fate as her parents and siblings.
• Narm: The terrible CGI of most of the "true ghost sighting" accounts.
• Nightmare Fuel: A bit of what a kid may see on the show.
  • The Beast of Bray Road is a strange case. The atmosphere for the "flashbacks" is creepy enough but the Beast is portrayed by a man in a suit yet even then the suit is creepy enough. Seeing the Beast wandering around the side of the road or escaping into night proves to be unnerving. Yes, it is just a man in a suit but when done properly and with the perfect atmosphere and perfectly frightening account it ends up being scarier than it should be.
  • The Mothman is a similar example. It is a person in a costume but you see so little of it in the "flashbacks" leaving the reactions of the people to be what gets you on edge. When we do see the entire Mothman, even then the face is obscured by shadow, making it much creepier than when we see brief glimpses of it in the flashbacks.
  • The caricatures used in V-Files would look unsettling to some viewers.
• Nightmare Retardant: Most of the rest.
