Go To

  • The Cast Showoff: David Acer, who also works as a magician, often shows off some magic tricks. Some of the Mystery Lab segments even has him show the audience how to do some of these tricks.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: The series only released two DVDs that contain 6 episodes altogether (out of a total 78). The show's production company has made a youtube channel for the show but, beyond some blooper videos, a couple interview videos and a few Doubting Dave segments, there isn't that much content, let alone full episodes.
    • American viewers who have the Me-tv channel are able to watch it but viewers from other countries, even in the show's native Canada, will have a difficult time finding reruns. As of 2019, it seems reruns have stopped on Me-TV
  • No Export for You: The fourth and final season of the original show never aired outside of its home country during its initial broadcast, despite that the fact that Discovery Kids was still around. Though this may have contributed to Hasbro trying to purchase the network that later became the Hub. Thankfully, this is averted when the show reran on Me-TV.
  • Science Marches On:
    • As mentioned in Did Anastasia Survive?, the episode about the team researching about if the Russian princess survived ends up being dated due to the discoveries of the remaining Romanov children remains shortly after its initial airing which confirmed that she did not survive.
    • A season 1 v-file segment refers to Pluto as a planet in the same vein as Earth. In 2005, a dwarf planet called Eris, which is 27 percent more massive than Pluto, was discovered and the definition for a planet was amended in 2006 which reclassified Pluto as a dwarf planet.
  • Technology Marches On: Doubting Dave's laptop that he uses for his V-File segments looked bulky and outdated compare to later ones.
