• Crosses the Line Twice: This show's bread and butter.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • In the 20th Anniversary Special, there's a segment about his time filming "Mr. Bill's World of Adventure", a series where he goes on adventures around the world. In the third segment, Mr. Bill goes hang-gliding... off the top of the World Trade Center... and gets pulled into a nearby airplane's jet-engine...
  • Another segment of the same special had him hosting a Hollywood gossip show where he met several celebrities. One of them was Bill Cosby.
  • The name "Mr. Hands" would become somewhat of an Unfortunate Name given a certain depraved event in Washington in 2005.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: "Mr. Hands" would also become the name of a Fixer in Cyberpunk 2077. One can only imagine what sorts of cruel things would happen to Mr. Bill there...
• Periphery Demographic: Despite first appearing on Saturday Night Live, a program that skews towards older viewers and being an outright parody of children's shows, Mr. Bill actually did catch on with children which was attributed to the series' life beyond SNL.
• The Woobie: Mr. Bill himself. All of the comedy of the series is derived from his suffering and the entire world is constantly out to get him for the unspeakable crime of merely existing. This spills over into Spot and Sally too, the only two who treat him with any sort of kindness.
