- Awesome Music: "Hey, Hey Girl" by The Virgins (ironic, eh?), which was featured in the trailer and other promotional videos.
- Critical Dissonance: Downplayed; Critics maimed this movie. And while regular moviegoers didn't like it that much either, they were more merciful to it, but just barely. To illustrate, Rotten Tomatoes (as of current writing) rates this film 5% Rotten, while the audience score was a slightly better 30%.
- Cult Classic: Despite its poor reception among critics and audiences, the film does have some fans, most of them coming from the WKUK fanbase.
- Funny Moments: The promotional videos for the film are considered by some to be better than the actual film.
- Heartwarming Moments: For all his faults, the fact that Tucker was the only one who never gave up and stayed with Eugene while he was comatose (apart from Cindi) truly shows he's ultimately an awesome friend as well as Hidden Depths.
- Serial Numbers Filed Off: The film's plot is similar to premise of the J. Geils Band song "Centerfold", but if it were a raunchy sex comedy/road trip movie.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: More like "They Wasted Perfectly Good Actors"; many people think the film would've been better if the other three members of The Whitest Kids were part of this film or if the movie was just a whole film adaptation of the show.
- Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Before learning Cindi resorted to Playboy to cover his medical expenses while he was comatose, Eugene’s initial rebuke of her status as a centerfold makes him come off like a sanctimonious, Slut-Shaming asshat. It wouldn’t be all that surprising if Cindi were to dump him shortly down the line.
