• Hilarious in Hindsight: The premise of the fic actually becomes morbidly amusing when canon reveals that the user of the Sick-Sick Fruit can create diseases that induce a Gender Bender, which implies that such a disease may actually exist already in the One Piece world.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Chapter 4, "Brought Up Short", when Zoro struggles to adjust to the changes in his body enough to fight, while the raiders taunt and leer. Given Zoro's reasons for wanting to become the strongest swordsman in the world, watching him grapple with the reality of how much the shift has affected his combat ability is difficult.
  • In the same chapter, Sanji learns that the genderswitch has completely destroyed Usopp's self-confidence, and can't comfort him because he asked him not to. Not only that, his misplaced sense of chivalry forces him to block Zoro from talking to the sniper, despite being very aware he needs to talk about it and that Zoro's the most likely to understand.
