• Jerkass Woobie: Nick can come off as this sometimes, especially when suffering from the monsters' more destructive antics.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Whilst many can agree that Nick dumping the monsters in the woods was a bit too far, he isn't entirely unjustified as they had done nothing but aggravate and annoy him to no end, seemingly rather intentionally when the monsters make him think they've made him deaf (which proves to be the final straw for him) when all Nick wanted was a day without any stress.
