YMMV / Max's Big Bust: A Captain Nekorai Tale

• Ass Pull: One admitted by the devs, even. In chapter four of Max's Big Bust 2: Max's Bigger Bust, it's revealed, completely out of the blue, that Max and Heather are not blood siblings. At the end of the chapter, Captain Nekorai (who, in this game, is the devs' Author Avatar) gets called on this by Max.
  Max: You pulled that random bit of backstory out of your arse and you know it.
• Like You Would Really Do It: Ember seems to die at the end of chapter six of Max's Bigger Bust, but Author Avatar Captain Nekorai outright admits that she's probably not dead during the placeholder at the end (which disappears after the next chapter is released), because it would be stupid of him to spend all that money on a bunch of character sprites and only use them in one chapter. He suggests that she may be in a coma because "That's a thing that happens in well written stories like this one!"
• Moral Event Horizon: In chapter four of Max's Big Bust 2, Heather reveals that she's been pulling a Grand Theft Me on Max for the last several nights and having sex with people for money while doing so, then attempts to permanently steal Max's body and trap Max in her body. Max is furious at this, and once she gets her body back she says that This Is Unforgivable! and that she is seriously contemplating outright killing Heather in retaliation.
