YMMV / M*A*S*H S4 E20: The Novocaine Mutiny

• Jerkass Woobie: It's hard not to feel at least a little sorry for Frank when Potter undermines him by joining the poker game at the end.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: This episode gives Larry Linville a rare opportunity to flex his acting chops with Frank Burns. While his performance in his point of view is delusional and gives hilarious insight into the mind of Frank Burns, it gives a hint what Linville was capable of doing with the role. One wonders what Linville could have done had Frank Burns been given the kind of Character Development that would soon go to Charles Emerson Winchester III. Though it should be noted that Charles was conceived as a character who could undergo such growth; Frank had started shallow and only grown more so.
