* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: This episode gives Larry Linville a rare opportunity to flex his acting chops with Frank Burns. While his performance in his point of view is delusional and hilarious insight into the mind of Frank Burns, it gives a hint what Linville was capable of doing with the role. One wonders what Linville could have done had Frank Burns been given the kind of CharacterDevelopment that would soon go to Charles Emmerson Winchester III. Though it should be noted that Charles was conceived as a character who could undergo such growth; Frank had started shallow and only grown more so.

* JerkassWoobie: It's hard not to feel at least a ''little'' sorry for Frank when Potter undermines him by joining the poker game at the end.
