  • Adaptation Displacement: The Disney Channel replaced the Benny Goodman score to "All the Cats Join In" with a different song, "Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley, for its "DTV" interstitials in The '80s. To this day, some people think "Rock Around the Clock" was there first, despite having come out 10 years later.
  • Cargo Ship: Johnny and Alice.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The wolf's appearance at the beginning of Peter and the Wolf.
      • When he has Peter and Ivan cornered at the tree, the wolf is shown closing in on them from Peter's POV, all the while snarling menacingly. The next shot is the hunters finding Peter's hat and popgun alongside wolf tracks in the snow and assuming the worst.
    • The random appearance of one of Chernabog's fiends at the beginning of the final segment, acting almost as a Diabolus ex Nihilo as it rides past during the opening note and is never seen again.
    • Willie the whale being harpooned.
      • Prior to this, there's Willie's performance as Mephistopheles, even appearing to breathe fire during his performance. This leads directly to a shot of Tetti-Tatti just before he fires the harpoon, using the same tonal colors as the previous performance.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion: While he's explicitly referred to as a "he," Sasha the Woodpecker can easily be mistaken for a female, if only because of his name—at least to Americans. "Sasha" is technically a unisex (meaning it can be used for both males and females), but in America it's pretty much exclusively female-given name—but in much of Europe, it's more evenly split between males and females, and in some countries (like Russia), "Sasha" is actually more common as a man's name than a woman's name.
