• Captain Obvious Reveal: Was anyone surprised that Miyama has a crush on Takakura?
• Just Here for Godzilla: Some people gravitate towards the series due to Junichi Sato and Ikuko Itoh being involved, being key staff of Sailor Moon.
• Moe: Sae is a proto-moe character, hitting several of the buttons: cute, clumsy, determined, and endearing.
• Squick: Minowa and Akane's relationship comes off as The Jailbait Wait, which is probably why he doesn't return to the TV series.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The magic in the series are not explained in detail. This includes the original wand he found and grimoire being a 1st edition with lots of mistakes, as well as Miki's magic lineage.
• What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?: The jokes done for Fanservice might make one believe it was strictly aimed at an otaku audience, but the franchise was actually aimed at young girls in Japan.
