Magic User's Club of all shows has a fair share of Tear Jerker moments.
- Episode 7 of the TV series, where Sae prepares for the cultural festival but everybody else is off doing their own thing. At the end we see a very disappointed Sae begin to cry.
- And when Aburatsubo rejects Nanaka's Anguished Declaration of Love... in the sweetest, kindest possible way.
- Sae being Innocently Insensitive to Nanaka's unrequited feelings for Aburatsubo. Sae simply tells Nanaka move forward with him since Aburatsubo's feelings for Takakura is also one-sided.
- Jurika steps in to comfort her but bad timing
- In the OVA Episode 5 Nanaka gives Sae the Death Glare and runs away. In Episode 11, this was brought up again which culminated with Nanaka slapping Sae in the face, and clearly regretting it as she walks away.
- TV series Episode 12, during the battle between Miki and a Jurika Sae becomes scared of magic. The club members contemplate how much of a disaster magic can be if mishandled, which prompted Sae to give up magic for good.
