YMMV / Mad Stalker: Full Metal Force

  • Game-Breaker: The Hyper Attack in the PlayStation remake. Once that Overdrive Meter hits full, feel free to unload as much pain as possible to your victims while it lasts.
  • Polished Port: Although the PC Engine CD version of the game didn't have the parallax scrolling of the Sharp X68000 version, it does have updated graphics, an arranged soundtrack, and a more expansive narrative thanks to the animated cutscenes sandwiched in between stages (although if you can't speak Japanese, you won't get much out of it). It also has two more characters to play as in the Story Mode and more playable enemies in VS. Mode.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: In the remake, should you take any damage while your Energy is recovering from an Energy Unit, you lose all that could have recovered, even from the weakest attack.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The PlayStation remake. Gone are those wonderful scrolling scenery of the Sharp X68000 version, the difficult but intelligent boss A.I., and the overall challenge of the original. Instead, PlayStation owners are treated to dull and lifeless backgrounds, boss A.I. as smart as a brick, broken energy recovery programming, and Hyper Attacks that can easily break the game's difficulty.
