• Ensemble Dark Horse: Murray the dog, as noted above. It says something that Academy Award winning actress Helen Hunt was frequently outperformed by a dog.
• Harsher in Hindsight: One episode had Paul being helped by Bruce Willis As Himself, who was in the hospital because he had gotten a concussion filming a Die Hard sequel (resulting a few Cloud Cuckoolander hijinks). Cut to 2022 and Willis retiring because of aphasia, with a latter diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.
• Retroactive Recognition: Lisa Kudrow played Ursula the waitress on this show before shooting to superstardom in Friends. Ursula eventually migrated over to the latter series as Phoebe's twin sister.
