YMMV / Lumpy Touch

Go To

  • Fan Nickname: The Eldritch Abominations of childhood icons that stem from his videos are often referred to as being "Lumpified".
  • Fanon: It's often assumed in gameplay conversions of Gorefield that the Zodiac Gorefields are fought in their places to avoid. Coinciding with this, it's assumed that Taurus somehow warps the alleyway or uses it to bring Jon somewhere else, given he's described to be the size of a galaxy and alleyways are very small.
  • Heartwarming Moments: We've had scares, laughs, and badasses, so why not include some d'awwws too?
    • Anything involving Mario and Luigi. In contrast to many others, Luigi preemptively stay's himself even through his transformations; when he gets dry, he instead goes for the viewer instead of Mario, meaning he still has some of his old self inside of his dehydrated form to know not to turn on his brother. Even when he becomes an Eldritch Abomination, he still recognizes Mario and give's him power equal to himself, all thanks to Mario being a good brother. Kinda twisted, but sweet.
    • On that topic, we have the third Mario Brother: Balugio. Instead of a spotlight-stealing self-insert esque third wheel, he's oddly wholesome in the alleged reason we've never seen him in a Mario game; he's been offscreen, everywhere, instead cheering on his two bro's from the sidelines at any chance. The best example of a Non-Action Guy indeed.
      • Caterpillar Balugio's butterfly form from the Lumpcrate series also counts; as long as he lives, you will be blessed with endless positivity as long as he lives as thanks for you protecting him while he was in his pupa. Even when he dies, he still leaves a reduced but still powerful positivity boost, meaning he's still repaying you even when he's dead.
    • It is very creepy, but heartwarming nonetheless. Candleteeth's sole existence is to always show up for one's birthday, making sure they don't need to spend it alone. And surprisingly, he commits to the bit, reminding the birthday boy or girl that they need to stay healthy, and reminding them about his more cognitohazardous properties. Probably one of the most extreme examples of Face of a Thug out there.
  • Jerks Are Worse Than Villains: In the Garfield Gameboy'd/Gorefield series, Gorefield himself may be an absolutely ruthless killing machine, but his (various) designs and lines being so memorable makes it hard to completely hate him. However, Nermal spends most of his screentime acting like a Jerkass Smug Snake who remorselessly puts Jon in danger. You probably won’t feel bad for him when Garfield kills him.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Enough to warrant its own page.
  • Signature Scene:
    • Of all of his videos, the first part of Gorefield Gameboy'd where Jon is hiding behind a sofa as Gorefield searches for him is the most memorable, and has been parodied plenty of times on his channel.
    • Close behind it is Super Mario Larva Bros., which is helped by it becoming a meme in Vinesauce Vinny's community.
  • Tear Jerker:
