YMMV / Lout of Count's Family

Go To

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Cale is Tsundere, but how much is up to interpretation.
  • Angst? What Angst?: Sure, Cale didn't have any family and had a difficult life, but you'd think that he'd have more of a reaction to being Trapped in Another World with no explanation. It turns out that this world is much better than the one he left.
  • Awesome Ego:
    • Raon. It helps that he's adorable and he's even been compared to Toothless before.
    • Cale, more subtly.
    • Toonka, who constantly brags about his fighting prowess and has the strength to back it up.
  • Cargo Ship: Cale/Lemon, Cale/Slacker Life.
  • Catharsis Factor: The thorough revenge against the enemies of our main characters is incredibly satisfying.
  • Cry for the Devil: The Dragon half-blood, who has a tragic past.
  • Fan Nickname:
    • The title is often shorted to Trash Count. Cale is also occasionally referred to as "Trash Count" by fans.
    • The current Cale has also been referred to as "Cale Rok Soo" to differentiate him from the original Cale Henituse.
    • After Deruth Henituse is given the title of Duke, fans have started to refer to Cale as the "Trash of the Duke's Family" or "Trash Duke".
  • Friendly Fandoms: Among fans of Korean webnovels, there's a lot of crossover with the fandoms of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint and The S-Classes That I Raised.
  • Growing the Beard: The beginning of the story, while still interesting, can be kind of slow at times because of all the exposition and worldbuilding. It starts to pick up steam when Cale and co. travel to Marquis Stan's territory and really hits its stride once they reach the Capital city.
  • Ho Yay:
    • Cale is briefly distracted by how handsome Pendrick is when he first meets him. Also, Eruhaben is described as beautiful in the narration, sometimes with the implication that it's Cale recognizing him as such. However, besides these brief moments Cale doesn't show any kind of attraction to anyone.
    • There's also Choi Han's incredible Undying Loyalty and dropping his Ice King tendencies around Cale, Alberu acting like his true self and exposing his true feelings around Cale, Taylor Stan hitting on Cale, Clopeh Sekka's feelings of intense Hero Worship bordering on Psycho Supporter towards Cale, Eruhaben's protectiveness of Cale...
  • Iron Woobie:
    • Many characters qualify, but Choi Han is the most noticeable.
    • With the reveal of his past, this also applies to Kim Rok Soo.
  • Launcher of a Thousand Ships: Cale. He got shipped with literally anyone, from allies to enemies.
  • Ron the Death Eater: Deruth. While he wasn't the best father to be around, he was still someone who loved Cale very much as his son and cared a lot for his family. But, half of the fandom tend to make/think Deruth as the worst possible father to ever exist in some fanfiction.
  • The Woobie: The Dragon half-blood.
