YMMV / Lethal Enforcers II: Gun Fighters

  • Nausea Fuel: The Final Boss turns into a skeleton after you beat him in the second game. Yikes.
  • Obvious Beta: The PlayStation version of the second game is very broken. Gameplay is very unbalanced with enemies popping up insanely fast and occasionally you will take cheap, unavoidable hits. For example, right when the first stage starts, you will take damage. Playing on Street mode doesn't mark any of the levels as cleared, making it impossible to see the ending on that mode and light gun accuracy is very inconsistent even after calibration. The game is also poorly optimized, with annoying load times between areas, not so bad in the first game but the in the second game it causes the music to restart even when the next area uses the same music as the previous one, which often means you won't hear the track in its entirety. The Sega CD version didn't have this issue.
  • Scrappy Mechanic: What makes the second game harder than the first is that sometimes enemies may take more than one shot to go down. It might throw beginners off guard.
  • Sequel Difficulty Spike: Enemies shoot faster, hostages are much more unpredictable, and enemies also randomly take more than one shot to go down in the second game.
  • Special Effects Failure: The enemies falling down the stairs in the Saloon stage. One has sprites for tumbling down, but relapses into his standing up death animation when he hits the bottom. Another has even less effort put into it, with the guy standing the whole way, not so much falling as bunny-hopping.
  • That One Boss:
    • The third boss is a showdown at midnight consisting of three (six if you have two players) mooks. You need to time your shots right to defeat them all. But be warned, the gunmen tend to vary on which one will fire at you first. Just remember: Shoot the gunmen only after they draw their guns, but before they shoot you. Fail, and you have to start over again.
    • The fourth boss is extremely difficult. The sticks of dynamite he tends to throw at you are very hard to shoot down, not to mention how random they get thrown at you.
