• Aluminum Christmas Trees: The historical Leonardo da Vinci really had a housemaid named Mathurine, though she worked for him when he lived in France at the end of his life, not when he was in Italy.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The comic was an instant hit in the Netherlands after appearing in Eppo magazine, and was a staple in this magazine for many years until it went belly up. When Eppo magazine was resurrected in 2009 this comic also made a return in it.
