  • Growing the Beard: While all the projects are well received, Attack of the Legion of Doom marked the point where the franchise hit its stride, shying focus away from Batman to focus on other characters, and being the first movie to be 75 minutes, which carried over to future movies.
  • Jerkass Woobie:
    • J'onn J'onzz in Attack of the Legion of Doom starts out as a willing partner of Lex Luthor, but only because Lex and his Legion of Doom freed him from unjust captivity. He later defects and sides with Cyborg and the Justice League due to their immoral behavior.
    • Also, Deathstroke in Gotham City Breakout for being Always Second Best compared to Batman.
    • Jason Todd/Red Hood in Batman: Family Matters is also this. His time as Robin showed him to be a slacker and somewhat indifferent to heroics, yet still wanting to be loved by Bruce. He became Red Hood in order to prove him wrong, and was genuinely surprised when he saw how much Bruce went through to find him. His Heel–Face Turn feels so satisfying.
  • Narm Charm: All of the films are to one degree or another.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • From ''Cosmic Clash": Brainiac!Superman, he gives off a very uncanny vibe.
    • In "Gotham City Breakout", Bane's Big Fig Transformation gives off a very uncanny vibe.
    • In Shazam!: Magic and Monsters, Shazam and the League discovering Mister Mind. As he's undergoing some kind of monstrous metamorphosis. Even though it's in Lego form, the giant moth-creature he becomes upon completing the transformation is still surprisingly creepy.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • Like with most versions of the character. Shazam!: Magic and Monsters begins with Billy Batson being an orphan.
    • The moment in Shazam!: Magic and Monsters when Shazam reveals his secret identity to the de-aged Batman. The previously suspicious Batman takes it particularly hard when Billy then explains that he's a little jealous of Batman and the other Leaguers, because they all have friends and family. His words sting Bruce, who can relate to Billy far more than the boy realizes.
