• Franchise Original Sin: This episode would be reused for the universally despised Henry Danger episode "Substitute Teacher". Contrarily, this episode is a fan favorite for being genuinely hilarious, having a few heartwarming moments, and using the plot better. The titular duo are clearly traumatized due to having witnessed the robbery, so their thinking is understandably impaired. Kenan rightfully points out that while the clowns do look alike, it is a generic clown appearance. Like Captain Man and Henry, they base their evidence on very little, in this case a sneeze, but it is noted that it's the only thing they could think of to differentiate him. The duo takes a far more civil approach when they think they've verified the clown's identity: they call the cops and only take the Vigilante Man route because the clown is about to leave (and if it was the clown who robbed Rigby's, he might have taken some of the family's belongings), pinning him down until the cops show up. While the clown threatens a lawsuit when they learn it wasn't the real clown, it's implied the cops talked him out of pressing charges. This makes the duo come off a lot more sympathetic than Captain Man, who erases the memories of the people he previously entrapped.
