- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: While their music is naturally popular in those countries due to French being a common language, Jakarta has a very large fanbase in Africa.
- I Am Not Shazam: Jakarta was thought to be the name of the singer when the singer's name is actually Adrian Winkler, and the lyrics were written by Sirko Falke. Adrian used the name “Dookey Mackey” and the two created stock vocals for other artists and music groups and Jakarta was one of his consumers.
- Memetic Mutation: “Fake Jakarta” refers to when songs use the “Gentlemen’s Pitched Vocals” and have Jakarta clips put over the top of it, and any song covers German folk singer Adrian Winkler creates. He was the vocalist for this sample pack that Jakarta used.
