- Bizarro Episode: The Halloween Specials from early on in the strip's run qualify as this. The Season 2 one deals with a haunted house inhabited by an actual ghost while the Season 3 one involves Jack-o-Lanterns coming to life and terrorizing the neighborhood. Neither of them are brought up again and otherwise jar with the grounded feel of the comic.

- Depending on your sense of humor, Scott making a pass at Alma in one strip by lying on her bed butt ass naked with only a pillow covering his crotch can be seen as this considering the fact that Alma is revealed to only have sexual attraction towards other women during a Season 7 arc with her and Vanilla
