• Base-Breaking Character: Neirenn was a very divisive character on the forum during the comic's run. Some fans liked her smart-aleck attitude, friendship with Acheron, and veiled motives; others hated her smart-aleck attitude, arrogance, and propensity to zap people who annoy her and considered her a Bratty Half-Pint.
• Esoteric Happy Ending: Some readers found the ending dissatisfying for its revelation that Acheron was an elf all along. Although he wasn't the only good da'kor shown, he was the only one the other characters actually met, which undercut "his" attempts to demonstrate that da'kor didn't deserve to be denigrated by the other two races. Additionally, the original Where Are They Now epilogue "solved" their Dying Race problem by having the main characters transport them from their homeland to live on an island, fully segregated from the other races, rather than confronting human prejudice or having the elves fulfill their broken deal.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The revelation that Acheron was actually Kayn'dar all along negated the earlier themes about how the da'kor aren't all bad because Acheron, thought to have been a da'kor, is a good person.
