• Awesome Art: The art drawn by Morishita is fresh, unique and colorful with unique designs and characters with easily distinguishable silhouettes and palettes. Many shots and character designs go in great detail yet are also kept simple enough, together with going in great detail in Egyptology; making it all the more fun to reread the series, learning more about ancient Egyptian mythology and the like and finding out new things each time.
• Nightmare Fuel: This is isn't a series for those who are faint of heart.
  • The magai are humans mutated thanks to strong negative emotions and the miasma from Hell, so they often have quite the gore-y and body horror-esque designs. The fact that the transformations themselves bring unimagineable pain to those afflicted.
  • Quite often from the 7th chapter onwards, there is semi graphic gore; mainly with Djoser, showing a gaping hole in his chest, missing his heart and bleeding from that wound. Blood is also often shown.
  • Apophis shows some slight body horror at times, mostly with how his eyes and face look, but it's nothing too drastic. He does, however posses Djoser's actual mummy.
