• Americans Hate Tingle: Despite the manga being very popular in Japan, its reception outside Japan is low, considering that you need a deep understanding of Japanese and Chinese folklore and pop culture (though it did throw a lot of Western pop culture as well). This ANN review proves it.
• Creepy Cute: The adopted Zashiki-warashi Ichiko and Niko. Both creepy as all Hell, and also weirdly adorable.
• Fan-Preferred Couple: Hozuki x Hakutaku, which doubles as Foe Yay Shipping AND Crack Pairing. It is almost impossible to search fan art of them without coming across a good number of them depicting them both in this kind of atmosphere.
• Just Here for Godzilla: Western fans are still drawn by the Black Comedy and Work Com Satire side of the series, ignorance of the pop cultural references aside.
