• Funny Moments in Chapter 33:
  Cell: "Hah! He got quite a rise out of you by calling you a 'grand bastard," Cell thought within.
  "I'm going to keep calling you that all throughout the rest of the battle."
  Future Cell: 'I never realized you were quite this immature,"
  Cell: "And I never realized you were such a grand bastard."
  • Later on in the same chapter:
  "Grand bastard! … Grand bastard! … Grand bastard!…"
  Cell kept mentally conveying within, as prominently as possible.
  Future Cell: "Will you be quiet for just five seconds?"
  "I'm trying to concentrate here!"
• Hilarious in Hindsight: One of the allies Trunks and Future Gohan get to fight off Future Cell is that timeline's Broly who ended up turning good after fighting off his father's mind control naturally and has gotten strong enough to overpower Super Saiyans in his base form. Dragon Ball Super reinterprets Broly as a kindhearted man who only opposes the heroes because of his father's desire of revenge, and is strong enough that it takes Vegeta going Super Saiyan God in order to deal with his base form
• Moral Event Horizon: Vegeta killing 17 unprovoked simply to release his frustrations about the rest of the heroes being willing to give Cell a second chance.
  • Future Cell's absorption of his present self and his murder of most of the Z Fighters put him over the line.
