• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Shida's second and third AEW World title reigns fell victim to: a) Saraya getting a homecoming win at All In: London 2023 and b) a white hot Toni Storm on the rise in her new "Timeless" gimmick. Many feel Shida never got a reign she deserved after spending the bulk of her first reign in front of limited or no crowds during the pandemic, only to have her first full-crowd defense end in a loss to Britt Baker.
