- Porting Disaster: The NES version. Most versions of Heroes of the Lance range from decent to good, despite the very high difficulty. The NES version, however, is barely playable at all. It's often difficult to tell what's going on or what you're supposed to be doing. It looks downright ugly, too, with a colour palette consisting of mostly green, grey and brown.
