• Adaptation Displacement: It's quite hard to know that both shows were the same.
• Common Knowledge: The misconception that Grim & Evil was only 2 seasons and everything onwards was made for Evil Con Carne and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy respectively. While it is justified since only the first two aired as G&E proper, an unaired third season for 2003 was produced and only aired as part of the individual shows when the decision to split them for broadcast was made (and only surfaced on VOD services in 2017, plus one airing on [adult swim] in 2023). Everything from 2004 onwards is original to the individual series.
• I Am Not Shazam: No. The talking disembodied brain is not named "Evil". His name is Hector Con Carne. Evil Con Carne is the name of the criminal organization Hector runs. This is a fairly common mistake for younger viewers, who assume that, because the Grim Reaper is named "Grim", then "Evil" must be the name of the brain. Hence "Grim and Evil".
