• Base-Breaking Character: Ochako became one in the latter chapters. On one side, there are still plenty of people who love her and enjoy her increased prominence, being a much better fighter and her role as Izuku's best friend and eventual love interest. On the other hand, there are people who consider that she takes her Violently Protective Girlfriend attitude too far, first with Toga and later with Bakugo.
• Fan Nickname: "Momnight", due Midnight becoming something of a Parental Substitute to Toga.
  • This nickname was first used by AmyNChan
• Friendly Fandoms: With Ignited Spark. The author cites GTR as one of the main inspirations to Ignited Spark and also reviews some chapters for side stories and some fan art as well.
• Genius Bonus: The password of a secured crate belonging to All for One is "Alexandre Dumas". As in, the author of The Three Musketeers, whose motto was "One for all and all for one!".
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Himiko taking up the "R-Rated Heroine" in the future segments takes a darker tone when considering Midnight dies in the raid against the Paranormal Liberation Army in canon.
  • As a guest reader pointed out in a comment in Fanfiction, the early "I Love You" joke Ochako made in Chapter 4 takes a dark turn once Izuku confesses to Toga in Chapter 34 how awful he feels for falling in love with Ochako, since he believes nobody will ever fall in love him, even arguing his friendships are "a miracle".
• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • As somebody in the comment section of Chapter 44 pointed out, Inko's fight with Nagant is not the first time the assassin fought a Midoriya, using Fa Jin, in the rain, referring to the events of the Dark Hero arc.
  • Endeavour assumes Izuku is All Might's secret love child because of him suddenly developing new powers when stressed in the middle of a battle. All Might's actual secret love child, Melissa Shield, discovered she had indeed a Quirk when she was stressed and shouted she had All Might's strength and it happened.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Mineta's speech on chapter 47 shows off how much his status as an unlikeble as The Friend Nobody Likes hurts his feelings, but despite that he takes to become a hero very seriously, even if his main motivation is to get laid. And if the flashfowards show anything, he will succeed.
• Ship-to-Ship Combat: While the story is tagged as Izuku/Ochako and begins with them as a married couple a decade or so into the future, there are many readers who expressed their preference of Izuku hooking up with Toga rather than Ochako, or at least him hooking with the two of them.
• Take That, Scrappy!:
  • Many reviewers commented how much they enjoyed seeing Bakugo being crushed and humiliated by Todoroki during the Battle Trial arc.
  • The second half of chapter 12 is this to Mineta, with pretty much everybody reacting with varying shades of disgust and anger at his attempt to peek on the girls' locker room through a hole in the wall.
