• Breather Level: Map 25, "Forbidden Fruit", is somewhat easier than most of the surrounding levels, with fewer monsters and a fair bit of cover. Coming directly on the heels of the meatgrinder that is "Bridge of Blood", and right before three increasingly brutal maps (the third of which is an outright slaughter map), it gives the player a chance to get their bearings before proceeding.
• Shocking Moments: The part in Map 26, "Insanity", where the whole level sinks into the ground, leaving you in a maze of bloody walls has been known to make players freak out at how unexpected, yet cool the effect is.
