- Adaptation Displacement: The book is a pretty obscure entry in the Garfield franchise, so most people that know it exists nowadays only learned about it because its plot was used as the basis of an entry in The Calvinverse, with Max (renamed Andy) and Sherman later becoming major characters in the series.
