YMMV / Final Fantasy In A Nutshell

Go To

  • Crosses the Line Twice: Unsurprisingly all over the place with this kind of series.
    • In the X parody during the Underwater kiss scene, Yuna accidentally drowns and Tidus ends up having sex with her corpse underwater.
    • The XIII parody has Nora's death seen by Hope's view, where Snow is a black & white silent movie mustached villain who rapes his mother, kicks her off the edge and then repeatedly shoots her with a machine gun.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • In their VI parody, Kefka shows the other villains how to win without resorting to time travel, and one of the people in his "class" is Sephiroth. 2 years after this episode, this is just about exactly what he seems to be doing in Final Fantasy VII Remake, having gotten the party to kill the Arbiters of Fate at the end of Part 1.
    • In their Behind the Light episode for Roechelle in June 2020, the DPS queue stretches all the way to the moon. Fast forward to February 2021 when the next expansion for FF14, Endwalker, has part of its story take place on the moon. They lampshade it in their Discord.
"We accidentally predicted Endwalker 8 months ago."
    • The jokes about the Scions of the Seventh Dawn having the Warrior of Light do everything becomes this when the Trust System gets implemented for the Shadowbringers and Endwalker expansions, with A Realm Reborn, Heavensward and Stormblood confirmed to become compatible during the 6.1-6.5 patch cycle.
    • The Crisis Core Nutshell blamed GACKT as the reason it hasn't had a remaster or remake. Come 2022, it did indeed get an HD remake.
  • Older Than They Think: People thought RabToons was just doing a gag in Part 2 of their Final Fantasy XIV nutshell by having the party skip the boss fight between Gaius, Ultima Weapon and Lahabrea. It wasn't until the Stormblood expansion that the Castrum Meridianum and Praetorium instances were given Unskippable Cutscenes.
