• Awesome Music:
  • Joker's theme in the first game — enough said.
  • Mei Ling's theme from the first game is also worthy of mention.
  • Federico and Ziege's theme in the second game is truly awesome ear worm.
• Game-Breaker: Joker in the first game qualifies, as his moves are technically all above other characters' in power, speed and usefulness.
• So Okay, It's Average: The general opinion of the duology, as they feature unique mechanics and are considered to be some of the better fighters for the Nintendo 64, but contain rather bland characters and settings.
• WTH, Costuming Department?: The characters who aren't simply bland in design are over-the-top garish in their choices of costume, replete with weird sartorial flourishes like thongs over tights or full Native American headdresses, and all sorts of ugly mismatched patterns, animal prints, and day-glo colors so obnoxiously loud that they could shatter glass.
