- Crosses the Line Twice: The fic's rampant use of sexual misconduct as sympathy-bait shouldn't be funny, but with the level of Narm involved, it's hard not to laugh.
- Designated Hero: Garth is spared from the horrors of the treasure island for being a "good sole", but he's a greedy thief who molests an unconscious woman, leaves her and her boyfriend defenseless by stealing their weapons, and sneaks aboard their ship without their permission.
- Fridge Horror: The implication that a child Emily had someone fixate on and deride her breasts.
- Fridge Logic: Exactly why did Emily get bullied and who would have bullied her as a kid for her breast size?
- Narm:
- The entire fic; as much as it tries to be a serious action-adventure with romance and fantasy elements, the bad grammar and spelling, weak plot, weak characterization and lack of research hampers the result greatly.
- The friendly octopus that fights against the demonds would've been taken a bit more seriously were its name not Gollum.
- So Bad, It's Good: Practically the My Immortal of original fiction.
- WTH, Costuming Department?: Emily's suit of "pure silver but light as a feather" armor probably won't be very practical or aesthetically pleasing.
