• Alternative Character Interpretation: Several viewers have wondered if Moony is really all that great a friend to ENA, considering how dismissive she is towards ENA's feelings—specifically her sad side—and how she repeatedly gets her name wrong. Others have suggested that Moony does care about Ena regardless, and even suggested that Moony's real wish was for ENA to be happy, with her stated wish of becoming "thinner" the result of some other circumstance.
• Alternate Self Shipping: Happy ENA and Sad ENA are often split up into two entities and paired together by the fans.
• Angst? What Angst?: ENA and Moony show little more than mild disappointment at being trapped in The Great Runas' realm for 10,000 years.
• Awesome Music: In "Temptation Stairway," GOD RACE, the song that plays during ENA's Timed Mission at the beginning of the episode, is a thumping track that is appropriately tense and exciting.
• Common Crossover: ENA is featured in multiple mods of Friday Night Funkin' and is popular within the fandom.
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Given that most side characters only have a few minutes of screen time at most, practically any of them could qualify as this. Though there are a few that stand out in particular:
  • The Shepherd seems to be quite popular among fans, despite only appearing in one scene in "Temptation Stairway."
  • Merci also has quite a few fans, despite her few seconds of screentime.
  • Likely due to his Totally Radical attitude and nonsensical jokes (or "Dolphin Humour" as he calls it), Phindoll has his share of fans as well. Him being one of the only compassionate characters in the entire series so far likely helps as well.
  • Ulysses has also gained popularity due to his creepy appearance and way of speaking.
  • Even before the release of Dream BBQ, Taski Maiden and Coral Glasses were already very popular with the fandom because of their cute and unique designs.
• Even Better Sequel:
  • It is near-universally agreed that "Extinction Party" is better than "Auction Day" as it takes the series from a cute but brief comedy to a surreal, experimental experience with even more unique characters and settings.
  • "Temptation Stairway" is generally seen as even better than "Extinction Party", as it is even grander in scale, with a much longer length, the appearance of even more unique characters, beautiful settings, and more focus on Surreal Horror.
• Fandom-Enraging Misconception: ENA is not male just because she sometimes has a masculine voice. Calling her male will anger many fans.
• Fountain of Memes: Given how bizarre and nonsensical the dialogue in ENA can be; practically any character in the series can be this one.
• Friendly Fandoms:
  • In part because of a popular mod where Boyfriend is switched with the titular protagonist, fans of Friday Night Funkin' are also commonly fans of ENA. Both having charming, quirky character designs and banging music helps as well.
  • Fans of ENA are often fans of HANDS UP, as both are created by Joel G.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: ENA is quite popular among Japanese fans, likely due to its quirky and surreal nature, as well as being heavily influenced by media from Japan. It's popular enough among them to the point where an official Japanese dub was made by voice-acting team RASH A1M in collaboration with Joel.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • The ending to "Extinction Party", if looked at a certain way. A way of interpreting ENA gifting Moony herself could be seen as ENA calling Moony herself a gift. Even through the weirdness, ENA still cares about her friend.
  • Phindoll, unlike barely any other character, is actually friendly to ENA. He is the only character to react to Sad ENA's depression and try to cheer her up.
• LGBT Fanbase: This series has many queer fans who love ENA's design and androgyny. Some trans women identify with ENA and see her as transition goals.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • CHEESE AND RICE MOONY ^{Explanation (spoilers)}Moony's wish to be thinner in "Temptation Stairway" causes her to crack like an egg, introducing her humanoid form. Cue ENA reacting in horrified shock, saying this line, which caught on as a subject for quotations given how out of character it seems for the normally unflappable Happy ENA. Also sometimes used as a reaction to disturbing or shocking actions
  • TURRÓN.^ExplanationA repeated chant in "Temptation Stairway" that ENA performs with other characters when transferring ownership of the eponymous confection. The leftfield nature of the scene even by ENA standards, the heavy amount of repetition involved, and the visual nods to the already-memetic "Once in a Lifetime" by Talking Heads quickly made it a popular quotation among fans, both on its own and in fan works.

• One-Scene Wonder: Technically, almost anyone who isn't ENA or Moony can fall under this, as they have just as many fans as them in spite of only having one scene. The Shepherd, Merci, Phindoll and Ulysses tend to be the most popular.
• Pop Culture Holiday: Fans celebrate ENA Day on February 23rd, the anniversary of when Joel G first revealed ENA on Twitter.
• Quirky Work: Due to ENA's bizarre plot, characters, Surreal Humor, and Surreal Horror, it should go without saying.
• The Woobie: It's very easy to feel bad for ENA. She has rapid mood swings that cause her to suddenly become depressed at any moment, and she suffers from panic attacks. Almost everyone in the series is a jerk to her, especially her best friend Moony who constantly insults her and can't even remember her name. At the end of "Temptation Stairway", she is trapped in The Great Runas' realm for millennia (although she doesn't seem too upset by this).
• Viewer Gender Confusion: ENA's masculine voice in her Happy persona has caused some confusion about her gender, with some viewers mistaking her for male. However, ENA's gender is officially female.
