Analysis / ENA

  • In Dream BBQ's second trailer, there's a lot of work/servitude motifs that I picked up on. Ena is explicitly called a "worker" and is constantly doing stuff for others (often to her own detriment), Coral Glasses is looking for a job, one part has Ena picking up tips, there are what look to be medieval serfs wandering around near the end, and the game's Steam listing says that Ena is "searching for the Boss that everyone wants to be". Her two sides are even labelled "salesperson" and "meanie", with the salesperson being superficially polite and charming while the meanie is unhappy, sour and hates her job, bringing to mind the concept of the "retail voice" (someone in a low-paying and/or demeaning job acting chipper and polite to hide their anger and contempt for their work).
    • There's a lot of war/death motifs pertaining to this Ena as well: her wound looks like a heated gun barrel, spent bullets are raining down on the decaying Ena, which later turn into angel's trumpets (which are relatives of the nightshade, and are some of the most consistently toxic and fatally poisonous flowers ever recorded), and she is commonly seen in close proximity to guns and weaponry, something the previous Ena was never seen with (bar the Shepherd whacking her in the head with their cane in Temptation Stairway)
      • And Prion diseases. in the official trailer, ENA was trying to get a Handshake From a... Sort of Hand. However, one comment indicates that the hand looks like A prion disease. Possibly mad cow. While another says its Possibly Kuru. Both of which can only be happened By consuming Infected Tissue, for Mad cow disease its via Eating... well, cow. But for Kuru? Its cannibalism, Another comment indicates That Mad cow causes dementia, Kuru causes outburst of laughing and difficulty moving. In the trailer, one of ENA alternative Form is seen struggling to move, a symptom of Kuru, While another (I think the "FORGET YOUR PAST" one) Indicates Dementia, A symptom of Mad cow disease. Therefore, in conclusion: S2 ENA has both those diseases.
