  • Broken Base:
    • His Infamous "(((Keebler Elves)))" tweet. Some fans and commentators took it to be him unironically voicing anti-semitic opinions, and others concluded it was a joke, just one that was in exceptionally bad taste. However, the apparent majority of fans instead felt it Crosses the Line Twice, or interpreted it as a Take That! to actual anti-Semites given the blatant absurdity of implicating a snack food mascot of all things in an imagined Jewish conspiracy, as well as the mocking parallel to antisemites’ tendency to project sinister motives onto completely innocuous things.
    • His tweet referencing the Tara Reade controversy explanation. While some found his tweet funny, supporters of Biden were annoyed at promoting what they felt was a discredited rape allegation, many accusing him of suffering having stopped being funny and attempting to generate controversy for attention.
  • Fountain of Memes: In general, many things Dril says become memes, and it's been said that there's an appropriate Dril tweet for any occasion.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • "Corncobbing", often used to refer to when someone is humiliated but refuses to admit it, usually resulting in them digging themselves deeper.
    • "Large adult sons", used to refer to spoiled adult children of the manchild variety, often of politicians and other well-connected rich people.
    • "someone who is good at the economy please help me budget this."/"Spend Less on X". Used when something trivial or useless makes up an excessive amount of spending, often used to mock the government. Comes from this exchange, where dril reveals that he spends 73% of his household budget on candles.
    • "blocked. blocked. blocked. youre [sic] all blocked. none of you are free of sin", already a popular Tweet, became an extremely popular way to convey a "No. Just… No" Reaction after it was edited into a Chick Tract, which put the words into the mouth of Jesus.
    • "'This Whole Thing Smacks Of Gender,' i holler as i overturn my uncle's barbeque grill and turn the 4th of July into the 4th of Shit." Often used on American Independence Day (July 4) as a critique of American nationalism, and sometimes modified to fit other holidays (like turning Christmas into "Shitmas" or Thanksgiving into "Shitsgiving").
    • "You do not, under any circumstances, 'gotta hand it to them'." This tweet originally about a terrorist group has now become a general purpose response to praising people or organizations that may not deserve it.
    • "the wise man bowed his head solemnly and spoke: "theres actually zero difference between good & bad things. you imbecile. you fucking moron." Another widely memed tweet — it's the lead quote for his profile in The Ringer — frequently used to satirize Stupid Neutral and/or Golden Mean Fallacy arguments.
