• Awesome Art: The animation, art style, and character designs are widely considered to be visually appealing.
• Cliché Storm: Most of the Wangst moments and poetry introductions tend to fall underneath this.
• Narm: Apparently, the Blue Christmas perpetrators killed exactly 666 people. Were they keeping count?
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The entire series was all about reaching the Divine Gate and getting your wish granted. By the end of the anime, they do reach it... But then they completely abandon their goal.
• Wangst: Aoto, full stop. His subconscious even creates an image of his younger self to angst more!
