• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • After she arrives on the island of Mata Nui, Yang meets a tiny little Ussal crab and jokingly asks if it's a magical Talking Animal here to guide her through an unfamiliar new world, only for it to run off and for her to remark that such things only happen in fairy tales. Cue the introduction of Little the Mouse in the first episode of RWBY Volume 9.
  • The reunion between Blake and Yang at Kini-Nui combines The Glomp, The Big Damn Kiss, and Weiss going "It's about time" nearly a full year before all three of those happen at separate points in Volume 9.
• Unexpected Character: The Glatorian and Agori from the 2009-2010 BIONICLE storyline makes an surprise appearance in Dutiful Destruction sequel.
