Funny / Destiny's Divide

• Perhaps the biggest Running Gag of the story is that the Matoran Universe residents think that Humans Are Ugly:
  • Poor Takua finds Penny's toes absolutely gross.
  • When Ruby has to perform CPR on Penny after she nearly drowns, Takua finds the act itself more disgusting than Penny throwing up seawater afterwards.
  • Part of the reason that Makuta decides against trying to use Energized Protodermis against the Huntresses is that he didn't want to chance it making them even uglier.
• When asking Penny who she wants the Winter Maiden power to go to, Emerald has to bite back a snarky comment on how on-the-nose it is that she chose Winter Schnee.
• When Yang comes across Kapura, he bluntly asks if she's the Makuta.
• After using his Mask of Shielding to keep Yang's attacks from hitting him and thinking himself invincible, Tahu gets his ego deflated by Yang's mini-bombs.
• When Ruby first visits Ga-Koro one of the villagers assumes that she's some kind of weird fish.
• Axonn pointing out to Brutaka, when he complains about the situation with Pyrrha, that he's often expressed a desire for something interesting to happen around Voya Nui. Brutaka starts to protest, but decides against it.
• Neptune tries to hit on Weiss after RWBY arrives in Vacuo... not getting that she's with Ruby until the latter swoops her girlfriend into a kiss, after which Neptune turns and runs. And Blake and Yang are watching the whole time.
• When Henry Marigold calls Ruby "little", Ruby points out that she's taller than Weiss now, even repeating the "I drink milk" line. Despite the situation, Wiess finds that funny enough to almost laugh.
• During a spar, Emerald gets mad at Weiss for using partial summons, and complains to Ruby... who takes Weiss's side as soon as she clarifies that she's only using partial ones.
• When Klein first meets Albus, he first hears the kitten meow before seeing him, so he briefly wonders if Whitley made the noise.
• Poor Weiss chose to get into a dune buggy with Yang and deeply regrets it.
• Lewa again points out someone else Tempting Fate when it's suggested that they have a celebration for cleansing the last of the Rahi of Makuta's influence... and the earth shakes and the Bohrok are released.
• Jaune and Sun can only give a Flat "What" when they see the energy field from the Drive Core disintegrate the Grimm that it touches.
• Once the Bohrok are repelled, Penny once again gives Ruby a Glomp.
• Before Azina clarifies that she's adopted, Yang is rather nonplussed to hear that she's Raanu's daughter. Metus joking about how the resemblance should be obvious, and Fox (who's blind) joking that he can see it only to get elbowed in the side by Velvet takes the cake.
• Upon seeing Toto, Blake instinctively climbs up on Ackar's shoulders to get away from the canine.
• Tahu gets paired with Qrow on the Krana hunt, and quickly gets annoyed by him. After Qrow turns into his namesake bird and flies away, Tahu mutters to himself how he hopes that he wasn't so insufferable.
• When Kiina casually reveals that she came out of her father's womb, even the camels grunt in seeming shock. Nebula then facepalms when Octavia asks for more information against her silent pleas.
• Petra calling Winter a bitch... right as she enters the room.
• When Ilia makes a Remnant-style weapon for Gresh, she forgets to make sure that it had a safety, so he ends up demolishing a display case in the shop. Also, Ilia and Emerald's interactions after this.
• Neo is a terrible patient when her burns are being treated after the Po-Koro attack.
• A Muaka coming up behind Weiss while she's ranting to Kopaka after he makes a comment on how they have "bigger problems", with Kopaka trying and failing to interject. Luckily it's Mumu.
• Iruini snarking that, no offense to Dume, Metru Nui wouldn't be his first choice of place to live. Or second. Or tenth.
• When Azina visits the Schnee home in order to work on experimenting with the Vuata Maca berry that RWBY brought back to Remnant, Albus quickly takes a shine to her... which is unfortunate for her, since she reacts like Blake would to a puppy. Klein certainly seems rather amused by it.
• Ruby is a little annoyed that Nuparu wouldn't let her choose the name for the Boxor they designed, which she wanted to call "Blue Orchid: Xeno-Organic Rigging".
• While Jaune is explaining how to use Dustfruit in combat, Reese asks if they can turn the trees into instant grenades by throwing them at the Grimm when infused with Aura. After he explains how that's technically possible but not recommended, he asks if there are any other questions. When a bunch of people raise their hands, he says that no, they cannot eat bullets made from Dustfruit, and most of the hands go down again.
