YMMV / Conduit 2

Go To

  • Demonic Spiders:
    • While the sequel did away with explosive mites, it also made the normal ones deadlier than before, with increased speed and offense. Overconfident players will find themselves surprised at the very real possibility that they could get instantly clubbed to death by even a handful of these nasties.
    • The heavily armored Trust Advancers. They can only be killed with two headshots. One removes their helmet and the next will aerate their skull. Provided that you're fast enough to land them before they shotgun you to death...
  • Fridge Brilliance: Wonder why Michael Ford's voice changed from The Conduit to Conduit 2? Well, each time you enter a Conduit your IQ drops by 5 points. The amount of Conduits he entered was two, but you enter and leave meaning that it'd be a total of 20. What does this tell? Michael Ford's drop in IQ makes him more brutish now, possibly being a Take That! to the Duke Nukem games, where the protagonist wears Cool Shades like Michael did in the first game, possibly even a Shout-Out.
  • Shocking Moments: The ending of the game: the cybernetic versions of the Presidents of the United States come to kick ass.
  • That One Boss: Li, in his third and final phase, can be a pain in the nuts if you don't have the right weapons. His attacks are difficult to avoid, but what makes things worse is that he starts summoning Jade Warriors at the start of each of his attack cycles. On any difficulty besides Low, these terrifying Mighty Glaciers will insta-kill you, and that's very easy for them to do when you're trapped in a fairly small arena. Weapons that deal massive damage in a heartbeat, whether through a single, powerful shot or Damage Over Time such as SMAWs, radiation grenades and the Carbonizer are your best hope of finishing Li at this point...but too bad you can't go back and get them without having to restart the level if you didn't have them.
